PopSugar – Jennifer Garner Gets the Party Started With Violet
Jennifer Garner unloaded her car and headed into a Santa Monica, CA, birthday party with Violet yesterday. Violet carried a striped package from the Brentwood toy store JennyBec’s while Jennifer had a Whole Foods bag in hand. The bash wasn’t the only recent celebration for the Garner-Afflecks since little Samuel turned 1 years old on Wednesday. His milestone came after dad Ben picked up the best picture Oscar for Argo last weekend. He and Jennifer celebrated at Vanity Fair‘s Oscars party, and Ben later shaved off the beard he’d been growing since the beginning of award season. Ben showed off his fresh face at the TED Conference in Long Beach, CA, where Reese Witherspoon also made an appearance. Ben got back to family time by the end of last week though and took Seraphina to breakfast on Friday.
PopSugar – Jessica Chastain Reunites With The Help Cast to Party Pre Oscars
Tonight, Women in Film held its sixth annual pre-Oscars event honoring females in the movie industry at LA restaurant Fig & Olive. Last year’s best supporting actress winner, Octavia Spencer, played cohost for the event, and two of her costars from The Help were also in attendance. Viola Davis walked the red carpet with her husband, while Jessica Chastain made a late arrival to the soiree after fighting LA traffic. The event, sponsored by MAC, Max Mara and Perrier-Jouet, honors women who are recognized for their work both in front of - and behind - the camera.
Of course, men were welcome at the bash, as well. Director David O. Russell, whose film Silver Linings Playbook is up for best picture on Sunday, attended. So did Daniel Radcliffe, who chatted up Jessica inside the party. Beyond Jessica, several of this year’s female Oscar nominees were also in attendance, including best supporting actress nominee Jacki Weaver. Jacki told us her husband is working and won’t be able to be her date for the Oscars, so he’s throwing a viewing party at their apartment in Sydney for friends and family instead. Even though the time difference means they’ll be watching the festivites around lunchtime, she told us tuxedos will be required! PopSugar – Katy Perry and John Mayer Party With Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie, and More at Clive Davis’s Grammys Bash
Music industry stars made their way to the Beverly Hilton for Clive Davis’s pre-Grammy gala in LA Saturday night. The annual event honors industry icons, and this year’s bash celebrated L.A. Reid. The event will also remember Whitney Houston, who died on the day of Clive’s party one year ago. This week Clive shared that he planned on doing “something to remind everybody that her talent lived among us and in so many people.”
Despite the sad anniversary, stars arrived ready to party, with Miley Cyrus stepping out in a sexy Emilio Pucci dress to mingle with pal Katy Perry. Katy, in a white Rafael Cennamo gown, showed PDA with boyfriend John Mayer inside, while couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen posed together on the red carpet. Nicole Richie made a solo entrance, and Jordin Sparks rocked MusiCares gala on Friday night. A few famous faces in sports stepped out for the fun, including San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
