Celebrity News – CNN Broadcasts Purported Audio Containing Gunshots That Felled Michael Brown Jr.; Leaders, Celebrities Fill Pews At Teen’s Funeral

On the same day Michael Brown Jr. was laid to rest, CNN Monday broadcast an audio recording in which the gunshots that felled the 18-year-old Aug. 9 can purportedly be heard in the background.

The recording was taken by an unidentified local who was engaged in, and recording, another discussion at the time of the shooting, the man’s attorney Lopa Blumenthal told CNN.

The outlet’s Don Lemon said that “CNN cannot independent verify the authenticity of this tape,” noting that they “reached out to the FBI for confirmation of their interview with the Ferguson resident who says he made the recording.”

Paul Ginsberg, an expert on audio forensics, said he heard 10 shots on the recording, first a series of six, then four more.

Blumenthal said the pause between the sixth and seventh shots fired could figure as key evidence into the ongoing investigation of the incident.

“I was very concerned about that pause … because it’s not just the number of gunshots, it’s how they’re fired,” Blumenthal, said the FBI has perused the recordings, told CNN. “And that has a huge relevance on how this case might finally end up.”

Brown was fatally shot by police officer Darren Wilson, triggering more than a week of rioting in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, and bringing race relations to the forefront of the country’s consciousness. Wilson’s actions in the deadly incident remain under scrutiny from both a grand jury and federal investigators.

Brown, who recently graduated high school, was buried Monday at St. Louis’ Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church in a closed casket funeral attended by more than 4,500 people including the Rev. Al Sharpton, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Spike Lee, Sean Combs and Trayvon Martin’s parents.

“We’re not anti-police — we respect police,” Sharpton said at the proceedings. “But those police that are wrong need to be dealt with just like those in our community that are wrong need to be dealt with.”

Politicians such as Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill and Rep. William Lacy Clay also were in the pews on the somber day.

Celebrity News – Sonja Morgan Unfazed By ‘RHONY’ Costar Kristen Taekman’s Dog Funeral Diss: ‘I Didn’t Pay Attention To Her Comments’

Kristen Taekman may have dismissed Sonja Morgan’s dog funeral as “morbid” on the latest episode of Real Housewives of New York City, but the grieving single mom isn’t letting her costar’s negativity bring her down.

“I didn’t pay attention to Kristen’s comment at the time,” Morgan, who recently lost her beloved 18-year-old poodle Millou, tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Morgan, 50, explains she just felt it was strange that Taekman, 36, behaved that way— and now wants to convert the model into an animal lover.

“Just like when I took Kristen under my wing when she was new on the show, I would invite her to my home to spend time with my two dogs and my cat,” Morgan says. “Maybe she didn’t grow up with animals. How could you not love animals? Everyone loves animals!”

Despite Taekman’s behavior, Morgan insists Millou’s funeral was a special event.

“Funerals are for those who are left behind by loved ones who move to the other side,” she says. “And a lot of things change. My healer Aleta St. James… helped me with my own life shift to get through this transition.”

“We all go through transition: loss of a dog, loss of a marriage, loss of loved ones,” Morgan continues. “When you love deeply, it’s hard. And when you’re loyal like I am, it’s hard to move on. But I did.”

And Morgan says she’s grateful for the friends that did lift her spirits.

“I really appreciated all the girls coming together in solidarity to support me during this important moment,” she says.

Morgan especially thanked pal Carole Radziwill, who shared some special words for the departed pooch during the service.

“Carole wrote a beautiful ode about Millou that wasn’t seen on the show,” Morgan says. “I wish everyone could have heard it. It was beautiful!”
